Locate

Find the equipment and resources that keep care moving.

Locate gives healthcare teams clearer visibility of the equipment and resources they rely on across hospitals, departments and community settings.

The operational problem

When shared equipment is misplaced, hidden or unavailable, staff lose time and services can be delayed.

Find equipment faster, improve availability and understand utilisation, giving teams better evidence for deployment and purchasing decisions.

Find equipment faster

Give teams a clearer route to the equipment and resources they need.

Improve availability

Understand where shared assets are and how they move through services.

Support better decisions

Build stronger evidence for deployment, servicing and purchasing decisions.

Location that fits the operational need

Visibility inside the hospital and beyond the estate.

The right approach depends on the asset, environment and level of location context the team needs.

01 · Hospital and department settings

Indoor asset visibility

For equipment moving through hospital buildings, Locate can support indoor visibility using BLE, RFID or other appropriate location technologies, selected according to the environment, asset type and operational need.

02 · Community and virtual wards

GPS-enabled community visibility

For equipment that moves beyond the hospital estate, GPS-enabled tracking can help teams maintain visibility across community services and care settings.

In virtual ward and community-care scenarios, a GPS-enabled gateway can associate its location with nearby BLE-tagged equipment, helping teams understand which assets are travelling together or deployed at a community care location—without requiring GPS on every individual asset.

Assets that move through care

Support the equipment teams rely on across acute and community settings.

Typical assets can include beds, wheelchairs, infusion pumps, patient monitors and ventilators within hospital estates, alongside syringe drivers, wound therapy equipment and other assets deployed into community care.

From location to utilisation evidence

Build a more accurate picture of how equipment is really used.

Everyware Insight can combine location over time with other operational signals. Movement patterns can show how equipment circulates through an estate, while HL7 integrations with compatible medical equipment can add utilisation evidence—building a more accurate picture of how assets are actually used and supporting better deployment, servicing and purchasing decisions.

Flexible asset and place collections

Create virtual equipment libraries around the way services are organised.

Create and manage flexible collections of assets and places around the way services are organised. These can act as virtual equipment libraries, grouping equipment by department or service regardless of ward assignment, current state or physical location.

Grouped by service—not limited to one physical storage location.

Frequently asked questions

Choosing the right location approach.

Does Everyware support BLE, RFID and GPS?

Yes. Everyware can support BLE, RFID and GPS-based location approaches, depending on the asset, environment and operational need. This can include indoor asset visibility across hospital estates and GPS-enabled tracking for equipment moving into community care.

Does Everyware support UWB?

UWB can be supported where it is the right fit for a customer's requirements. While Everyware does not currently offer a standard off-the-shelf UWB tag, we can work with suitable hardware partners and integrate compatible devices with the existing Everyware Insight platform.

Does this track people?

Everyware Insight is not currently intended as a people-tracking service. It focuses on locating equipment and resources and helping patients, visitors and staff navigate healthcare environments.
